Company 46 Apparatus

The Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company operates ten apparatus to meet the emergency response needs of Moorefield and the surrounding communities. Protecting our area requires a diverse fleet of specialized firefighting and life-safety equipment.

We are currently in the process of replacing our 1986 engine with a new, state-of-the-art 107-foot aerial ladder truck. This apparatus will combine full pumper capabilities with the ability to reach upper floors of homes and buildings that are currently inaccessible. The aerial ladder will allow firefighters to rescue victims at greater heights while improving firefighter safety by reducing the need to operate on compromised roofs during ventilation or chimney fire operations.

This critical upgrade comes at a cost exceeding $1.6 million.
