WHAT IS THE FALL BASH?

The Fall Bash is a yearly raffle and fundraiser hosted by the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company. It will be held on Saturday, August 31st, 2024. Gates open at 10:00 am. Early Bird drawings are held at 11:30 am and the first main ticket drawing begins at 12:00 pm. If the Fall Bash is not held for any reason, then all monies will be returned.

HOW DOES THE RAFFLE WORK?

The Fall Bash is a raffle using four lottery-type machines. Every five minutes, four separate numbers are drawn (one number from each machine) to make a four-digit number. Any unpurchased numbers drawn, will be redrawn at the end of the event. We will award all giveaways.

WHAT IS AN EARLY BIRD?

For your ticket to qualify as an Early Bird, it must be purchased before June 1st, 2024. Early Bird tickets cost the same as a regular ticket, but are eligible for 10 additional $1,000 drawings. The Early Bird drawings will occur at 11:30 AM on the day of the Fall Bash.  

DO I NEED TO BE PRESENT TO WIN?

No. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win. After the event we will contact all winning ticket holders and post all winning numbers on this website.

WHAT DO I GET WITH THE PURCHASE OF MY TICKET?

Firstly, you are given a chance to win a giveaway every five minutes for seven straight hours. 

If you will be attending the Fall Bash in person, your ticket provides admission to the event. Please bring your ticket to the event in order to gain entry. During the Bash, treat yourself to the all-you-care-to-eat buffet starting at 12:00 pm. (Water and soda will be available starting at 11:00 am).

WHERE IS THE FALL BASH?

Tri-County Fairgrounds | 107 Rig Street, Petersburg, WV 26847

This is an open-air venue that provides a large covered/shaded area with seating and tables. Because the chairs are metal or plastic folding chairs, you may consider bringing your own if you would be more comfortable. Seating is first COME, first SERVED.

WHERE DO I PARK?

All parking for the Fall Bash is free. There are plenty of large parking areas within walking distance of the Tri-County Fairgrounds.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE?

When you arrive at the Fall Bash, you must show your ticket. You will have your ticket stamped. If you need to leave, please get your hand stamped before departing so you can return. This will allow you to leave the fairgrounds and come back as needed. If you lost your ticket, gate personnel will check your ID and look your ticket up in our system to verify purchase.

WHAT DO I DO IF I WIN?

If your number is drawn when you are at the event, you MAY be able to claim your immediately. If you are not able to attend, we will contact you to make arrangements. You must be 21 years of age or older to claim gun giveaways. Some giveaways may also require payment of Federal and/or State taxes before the receipt of the giveaway (winners will be responsible for paying such fees). Gun giveaways require a Federal Background Check, if unable to comply, giveaway is forfeited. Identification required for all giveaway winnings. Winners have 30 days after the Fall Bash to claim giveaways. After 30 days, all unclaimed giveaways become property of the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company.

WHAT ACTIVITIES WILL BE AT THE EVENT?

Live entertainment, additional raffles, food and drinks, gun table raffles, and other activities.

CAN I PURCHASE A TICKET IN MY CHILD’S NAME?

Yes. You may purchase a ticket in their name but only if they are over 18 years of age. All tickets holders MUST be 18 or older by the date of the drawing.

CAN I BRING A GUEST?

Yes. An adult guest pass costs $25. ONLY ONE adult guest pass per ticket holder; ONLY ONE child under 12 admitted free per ticket holder. An adult must accompany all children and please keep them with you at all times! Please do not send guest pass money. Guest pass money is only accepted at the gate. Guests purchasing a pass, do not receive entry into the giveaway drawings; however, they do have access to all the other event happenings.

CAN I BRING A COOLER?

Yes.

CAN I BRING ALCOHOL?

Yes. Most importantly, we ask that you please drink responsibly. 

CAN I SMOKE AT THE FALL BASH?

No. The Fall Bash is a non-smoking event. You will have to leave the fairgrounds and smoke outside of the gate. Likewise, the Fall Bash is a drug free zone. Please help keep it that way.

CAN I BRING MY PET?

No; However, service animals (with proper documentation) are always welcome. Pets may stay in the campgrounds if you are camping.

WHERE CAN I STAY?

Yes. All side raffles and games during the Fall Bash are cash only.
